On
the frontier between l'Eure and Calvados,
Cormeilles is a thriving market town
in the middle of a region renowned
for its many interesting places to
visit.
A
few kilometres to the north in the
direction of Rouen, l'Abbeye
du Bec Hellouin still lives to
its slow monastic rhythm. The Abbey
survives through sales of its home
made products and is a place of pilgrimage
that must be visited.
40
minutes away is Honfleur, with
its Vieux Bassin (old harbour), its
art galleries and museums. Further
along the coast you can discover the
D-Day landing beaches but don't
forget to make a detour to visit Deauville
and its famous 'planches' on the way!
